Burglars break into home in Safety Harbor
SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. - The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is searching for three suspects who broke into a home in Safety Harbor and stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.
Detectives said three black males in their late teens or early 20s forced their way into the home through a rear sliding door. They ransacked the master bedroom and stole ladies jewelry and men's watches valued at more than $2,000.
Clear surveillance video shows at least two of the suspects roaming around the home while the dog barked.
Shortly after the burglary, Clearwater police reported an occupied residential burglary attempt nearby that they believe are related. The suspects were seen fleeing from the home in a green Toyota Rav 4 with the Florida tag L49OEG.
Anyone with information is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS to be eligible for a reward.
