Carbon monoxide poisoning may have sent several to hospital in Lutz: PCSO

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible carbon monoxide incident in Lutz on Friday morning.

According to the agency, Pasco County Fire Rescue received a call about several people having trouble breathing around 2 a.m.

Upon arrival, deputies helped PCFR take the victims to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Investigators say no foul play is suspected and they believe the incident may have been caused by carbon monoxide poisoning.

At this time, we do not know the source of the carbon monoxide, but deputies say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
