Deputies: Organized suspects stole thousands from stores

Five thieves were caught on camera bursting into the MetroPCS store on E. Bearss in Tampa early Monday morning.

Deputies say the suspect stole thousands of dollars’ worth of pricey phones. Sales Rep. Iris Flores could not believe her eyes as she watched the surveillance tape.

“It is frustrating because here you have us working hard they decide to come in here and steal what they want and take it like nothing,” she said.

Within five minutes, the deputies say the same suspects broke into the Rent-A-Center in the same shopping plaza as MetroPCS.

Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies think the suspect could also be behind similar cases in Haines City and Hernando County.

“They didn't look scared. They looked organized to the extent they knew what they wanted,” said HCSO spokesperson Danny Alvarez.

Tampa police say five guys smashed the front door of the AT&T store and burglarized it in what appears to be a similar fashion Wednesday morning.

Police wound up catching four of the five after a high-speed chase ending in Polk County. All of those caught were from the Orlando area.

"Same amount of people, it seems there's a different vehicle we were looking for an Audi they had a Chevy but that Chevy was stolen. It’s ironic the timing we're definitely interesting seeing if it’s the same guys." Said Alvarez.
