Former Dept. of Juvenile Justice supervisor arrested for molesting child
WINTER HAVEN (FOX 13) - The Polk County Sheriff’s office has arrested a former Department of Juvenile Justice supervisor for lewd molestation of a 7-year-old girl.
Deputies arrested 41-year-old Rolando Dejesus, of Orlando, Thursday for inappropriately touching the girl.
Dejesus was employed by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) in Polk and Osceola Counties as a Juvenile Justice Detention officer in the 1990s, then again as a supervisor in the 2000s.
According to the arrest affidavit, Dejesus forced the child to perform oral sex on him.
The incidents occurred five years ago, when the girl was 7-years-old.
When investigators asked why she hadn’t told anyone, she said, “He was a big guy and I was scared to tell.”
PCSO says Dejesus gained access to the victim in his personal life, and nor through a work environment.
Dejesus was charged with one count of sexual battery and one count of lewd molestation. He is being held at the Polk County Jail with no bond.
