A Manatee County musician who was run over and killed by the driver of a pickup truck is being remembered by his friends and bandmates as a social, genuine, and talented man who will be forever missed.

Bradley John Yost, 32, was a regular singer at Peggy's Corral.

"The days that he played here and the nights that he played here will probably never be the same," said Debra Toner, the owner of the bar, "I don't know anybody that will ever be able to fill his shoes in that respect."

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Yost was hit by a pickup truck on Bayshore Road in Palmetto Thursday night.

Troopers said his body got stuck underneath the truck and was dragged for nearly two miles.

Witnesses told FOX 13 they believe it was a case of road rage, but officials stopped short of the classification, saying they have not pressed charges against the other driver.

While troopers continue to investigate, those close to Yost are feeling a painful void.

"He won't be forgotten here, ever," said Toner, "he was just one of those people we don't want to forget him."

A celebration of life will be held at Peggy's Corral, Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.
