FWC confirms man bitten by gator
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Florida FWC says an alligator bit a man's leg, sending him to the hospital for treatment. The man's wounds are not life-threatening.
The man, who's in his early 30's, was retrieving a frisbee from a stream in Orange County's Barnett Park when the gator attacked. FWC says the man was bitten by a female alligator that was guarding her nest.
FWC says any body of water in Florida could have an alligator lurking inside. They advise people to stay at least ten feet away from water that could have an alligator nearby.
Trappers have found the gator's nest and are working to trap her.
