SARASOTA (FOX 13) - A woman and her grandson were hit by a SUV Tuesday morning, but police say the grandmother could be the one facing charges in the incident.
Sarasota police say it happened near the intersection of US 301 and 4th Street in Sarasota around 10 a.m.
The woman was reportedly pushing her 1-and-a-half-year-old grandson in a stroller and attempting to cross the road when a Cadillac SUV ran into them.
Police say the toddler was airlifted to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and his grandmother was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where they are both expected to be okay.
In a later update, officials said the driver of the SUV was fully cooperative during their investigation and will likely not face charges, however they added that charges for the grandmother are a possibility.
No other details had been released.
