Gunfire and pursuit leads to 2 arrests in Tampa; third suspect at large
TAMPA (FOX 13) - An early-morning shooting led to a high speed pursuit and two arrests in Tampa Tuesday. Officers continue to search for an additional suspect who is still at large.
According to Tampa Police Department, Officers responded to reports of shots fired in Williams Park at about 1:20 a.m. When they arrives, officers say they saw two vehicles traveling north on N. 43rd Street, shooting at each other.
When the officers turned on their sirens, a pursuit began.
During the chase, police say one of the suspects pointed a gun at the officers. No shots were fired.
The chase came to an end when the car got stuck while trying to travel over a median. Three people inside fled on foot.
Officers were able to apprehend and arrest two of the suspects, but a third remains at large.
The Tampa Police Department did not provide information on the second vehicle or its occupant(s).
