Human trafficking takes center stage at UCF forum
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, along with members of the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking spoke at the University of Central Florida on Tuesday. Their mission is to eliminate all forms of trafficking in the state.
Committee members spoke about ways they have improved the monitoring of sex trafficking throughout the state and addressed what still needs to be done to tackle the problem. Bondi said that extending services to young adults who age out of the foster care system could help. Mike Carroll, vice chair of the committee, said one way to improve resources for victims is to allow them to receive services across the state.
