Ikea is investigating another case of glass attached to one of its furniture sets seeming to spontaneously shatter.

A Sarasota couple says they were awoken early Wednesday morning by what they said sounded like an explosion.

"It was like a gun had gone off in the bedroom," said Donna Moffit, who said she bought the piece of furniture, including the glass top, four years ago as part of Ikea's Besta-model cabinet set.

Moffit said she found the glass top underneath the TV, completely broken.

"It literally exploded. There was glass everywhere," said Moffit, who was left confused and also alarmed.

Moffit said she did some research and came across another story from FOX 13 about a Valrico family that reported a similar incident with their glass table top earlier this year.

"Hopefully they do something as far as, you know, maybe taking the product off the shelves so that other people don't experience this or get hurt," said Matthew Vaughn, back in a February interview.

An Ikea spokesperson said they will be reaching out to the Moffits to investigate the case.
