A little boy in Lakeland was all smiles Wednesday after doing a good deed for the K-9 Unit at the Lakeland Police Department.

According to the City of Lakeland Government Facebook page, 9-year-old Jayden Taylor dropped off a bunch of goodie bags for the dogs.

They said his deed was inspired by the fact that he recently adopted a service dog, and saw a movie about man’s best friend that warmed his heart.

Underneath two pictures of Jayden’s delivery, the caption commends his kindness and shares more of Jayden’s story:

“What an Awesome Kid - THUMBS UP JAYDEN!!

On July 22nd, Jayden Taylor, 9 years old, dropped off eight goodie bags for our K-9 Officers. Jayden, who is autistic, got a service dog in February and he went to see the movie, MAX. The movie tugged at his heart so much that he decided to solicit donations from Polk Pet Page which is on-line, German Shepard Owners, and The Southern Paws Foundation. With these donations, Jayden and his family created goodie bags for the K-9 unit.

Thanks Jayden for thinking of our officers!”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. What an awesome kid!
