One dead following Manatee County deputy-involved shooting

BRADENTON (FOX 13) - One person has died following a deputy-involved shooting in Bradenton, according to officials.
On Tuesday around 9:20 p.m., Manatee County deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a gas station in the 300 block of Cortez Road West.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, when deputies arrived, the male suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle, and soon after, parked in front of a residence in the 6300 block of 6th Street West.
The suspect fled again, this time on foot, deputies say, and they ran after him. Witnesses tell deputies the suspect was yelling that he had a gun and was seen reaching into his pocket. One deputy then shot the suspect.
He was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where he died, investigators say. His name will be released after his family is notified.
The deputy was placed on administrative leave, which is routine following a deputy-involved shooting. No other information has been released.
