Two, including 16-year-old, arrested for breaking into multiple student apartments in Tampa: HCSO
TAMPA, Fla. - An 18-year-old and 16-year-old boy were arrested on Thursday in a string of break-ins at a student housing complex near the University of South Florida on Wednesday, according to deputies.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says they charged Germery Glass, 18, and a 16-year-old boy, who has not been identified due to his age, with five counts of burglary of an occupied dwelling.

What we know:
Investigators say the pair broke into apartments at the Halo 46 Apartment complex along 46th Street in the University area of Tampa. HCSO says they turned the handles of the units' front doors in search of unlocked ones.
According to authorities, they made out with several gaming systems, clothing and other miscellaneous items.

According to authorities, the residents of two of the apartments broken into were home at the time of the burglary.
Deputies say they were called to the 14000 block of North 46th Street, which is just under two and a half miles from USF's campus.

"When someone violates your home by burglarizing it, it can be traumatizing. Everyone should be able to feel safe in their home," said Hillsborough Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Thanks to our dedicated detectives, these suspects were quickly identified and arrested for their dangerous criminal behavior."
