Orlando nightclub massacre: How to help

TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Orlando nightclub massacre that left 50 dead and more than 50 injured has left people wondering how they can help. Several organizations are accepting donations for the family and victims of the tragedy.

Equality Florida, the state's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, is helping to raise funds that will go directly to the victims and families affected by the massacre. So far a GoFundMe page has raised more than $1.3 million, far surpassing the organization's initial goal. The goal is now $2 million.

One Blood says they need O Negative, O Positive, and AB Plasma blood donors after the tragic mass shooting in Orlando. Many places are being overwhelmed, but they will still be able to use donor blood in the coming days. To find a donation center or Big Red Bus near you visit www.oneblood.org or call 1.888.9Donate.

Quench Lounge in Largo is accepting food, water, clothing, and monetary donations that will be delivered to the blood bank, crisis center and LGBT Community Outreach Center in Orlando Monday. Donations will be collected Sunday from 2 p.m. - 2 a.m. and Monday 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Quench Lounge at 13284 66th St. N.
