WESLEY CHAPEL (FOX 13) - Surveillance video of a vehicle was released by Pasco County detectives in hopes of identifying the two suspects wanted for the murder of a construction worker.
On Wednesday, just before 1 p.m., the victim, 46-year-old Heans Gianni Alvarez, was working as part of a tile crew at a home under construction. The home is located in the 28000 block of Marsciano Lane, in the Estancia at Wiregrass community, just north of the Shops at Wiregrass.
The crew took a break around 12:40 p.m., according to Pasco County Sheriff Nocco, who said the front gate of the community was left open due to the ongoing construction. While the workers were sitting in the garage of the home, a witness said two men entered and walked toward Alvarez.
The sheriff said the witness recalled one of the men tapped Alvarez on the leg and shot him on the spot, without saying anything. The other workers ran and the suspect fled from the scene.
Sheriff Nocco called his death a "targeted execution," and investigators are piecing together what could have led to his murder.
A vehicle of interest was identified as a 2017-2018 black Ford Fusion Hybrid, and is the focus of surveillance video that detectives have released. The suspects are both described as light-skinned black males who were driving a dark-colored sedan. The men were described as between about 5-foot-three to five-foot-eight with short, braided hair.
