Photo booth takes suspect's picture during theft

BATAVIA, Ill. (FOX 13) - Photos of a man suspected of prying open a photo booth to take the money inside may not have realized the machine was watching him.
Batavia, Illinois police said in a post to Facebook, the suspect got into a photo booth at Funway Amusements and pried open the cash drawer. He got away with $75, but not before the machine took his photo.
The machine's owner said it was designed to begin taking photos when it senses tampering to the cash drawer.
It happened in November, but a report was delayed until the owner could get a repairman to pull the images from the machine.
The suspect also caused $75 in damage to the machine. BPD investigators were searching for the man and asked anyone who recognized him to call (630) 454-2500.
