Police: Suspect stole guns from elderly man's home

ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - St. Pete police said a man has been arrested for stealing numerous guns from an elderly man’s home.
The elderly man was hospitalized in January and during that time, police said his house was ransacked and dozens of guns were stolen.
The victim, Michael Heale, owned more than 75 guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition, police said.
After investigating, police determined that 26-year-old Gregory Phillips was responsible for the burglary. Phillips had previously cut the lawn at Heale’s home.
He was arrested and charged with armed burglary and felon in possession of a firearm. Police said nine of the guns have been recovered.
