Russian family takes in injured deer as pet

A young deer that was found injured and dehydrated in a forest in Russia now has a new, warm place to call home.

The deer now lives with a Russian family, who has taken the four-month-old deer in as a pet after nature reserves and zoos refused to take her.

"Mila" is now back to full strength after being fed for several months on baby milk formula.

Mila likes to play with a calf called "Malysh," which means little one.

Russian law states that wild animals must live in their natural habitat, but in this case, authorities have made an exception.
