Sheriff Judd promotes 'sexploitation' video
LAKE WALES (FOX 13) - The Polk County Sheriff's Office is promoting a shocking video about "sexploitation" of teenagers and children.
Sexploitation usually involves a man masquerading online as a teen boy and pressuring a girl to hand over sexually explicit images or, in some cases, sexual favors.
The video shows a young woman in her bedroom talking to someone she thinks is a young guy. At his request, she sends him racy pictures of herself.
"I know you have been waiting for is for a while. I want to give you something special," the actress says.
Eventually, she figures out that the person she has been chatting with is an adult man. She breaks down when he keeps pressuring her for more and more explicit pictures.
"Who are you?" he cries out, clearly emotionally distraught an on the verge of tears. "Why are you doing this?"
In response, the predator writes back, "you're mine now."
"This video is awesome. It is the most impressive and informative video I have ever seen," Polk Sheriff Grady Judd said Tuesday. "If it catches fire and it crosses the nation, and young men and women will pay attention to it, it will save them an eternity of embarrassment."
The video, which was produced by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, is on the Polk County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, and has been shared by many outlets on social media.
