Soldier accused of downloading child porn

LAKELAND (FOX 13) - A U.S. Army soldier from Lakeland is in a North Carolina jail, charged with having child porn.
Detectives say Spc. Nathan Scott Gray was visiting family in Lakeland back in February when he downloaded the porn. A search of his computer allegedly turned up 10 images and videos depicting children as young as 3 years old being sexually battered by adults.
Deputies say Gray, 31, is stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, assigned to the 8th Military Information Support Group (Airborne) as a unit supply specialist. He'll be extradited back to Polk County to face charges.
"This is disturbing. A man who is active in the military in a position of public trust has a secret life behind a computer,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd offered. “The possession and sharing of child pornography victimizes children and families. We will not tolerate it in Polk County. Our detectives did an outstanding job investigating and following leads to Scott Gray. He will be held accountable."
