Missing Florida child found following statewide alert

DAVENPORT, Fla. - A missing 12-year-old boy from Davenport has been safely located following a Florida Missing Child Alert.

He was found by a Polk County Sheriff's Office bloodhound around 11:23 a.m., according to officials.

Deputies say he was sleeping on a retention wall in a nearby neighborhood from where he left.

According to the sheriff's office, the 12-year-old is doing well.
