SUV drives into water off Gulfport

GULFPORT (FOX 13) - Crews were working to pull an SUV out of the water after an accident in Gulfport this afternoon.

Officials say a woman apparently suffered a medical problem and drove her vehicle over the seawall at the end of 49th Street. She was out of the vehicle when officers arrive and was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

Her SUV was still floating in the water about 20 feet from the shore. The view from SkyFOX showed the recovery team wading out to the vehicle as they prepared to tow it from the water.
