Recalled Cat & Jack Toddler Sandal

Target is recalling about 211,000 pairs of kids’ sandals after federal safety regulators warned of a potential choking hazard from the plastic pearls on the shoes that can become detached.

The retailer says their Cat & Jack children’s sandals have decorative plastic pearls on the shoes that can detach, posing a serious choking hazard that could lead to serious injury or death.

What we know:

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall this week after Target received 23 reports of pearls falling off the sandals, which have two raffia straps with gold buckles, the plastic pearls and have the Cat & Jack logo printed on the sole.

The sandals were sold in sizes 5T through 12T at Target stores nationwide and online from January to May 2026 for about $20.

What's next:

Consumers are being asked to stop using the sandals immediately and keep them away from children. Shoppers can return them to any Target store for a full refund or request a prepaid label to mail them back.
