Temple Terrace father, 3-year-old girl found dead in apparent murder-suicide, police say

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - A 3-year-old girl and her father were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Temple Terrace, police said.

On Monday, city police responded to the home at 11859 Skylake Place after 4 p.m. They said the victim’s mother requested a wellbeing check. 

Officers said when they arrived at the home, they found two bodies: 3-year-old Ela Deniz Friedman Aytes and her father, 48-year-old Ayhan Aytes. Preliminary evidence shows that Ayhan murdered his daughter before killing himself, police said.

The cause of death was not released by Temple Terrace police, who said they are waiting for the final autopsy results. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Temple Terrace Police Department at 813-989-7110.
