Toddler nearly drowns in Clearwater fish farm
CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - Police said a toddler nearly drowned in Clearwater on Saturday.
The incident happened in the backyard of a home on Highland Acre Drive around 6 p.m.
According to investigators, 56-year-old Alexander Petroski found his 1-year-old son in a 55-gallon water drum that was part of Petroski's fish farm.
Police said Petroski was doing work in the backyard when his son wandered off.
The victim was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Investigators said the incident is believed to be accidental.
