DUNEDIN (FOX 13) - A pair of wedding crashers in Pinellas County was arrested on Saturday after showing up at a couple's reception.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Patrick McAllister, 33, of Tierre Verde and Joshua David Willard, 34, of St. Petersburg, intruded on a wedding reception happening at a brewery behind the Dunedin House of Beer at 927 Broadway in Dunedin.
Neither men knew the bride or groom, and both appeared to be drunk, according to deputies.
"They, I guess, tried to mingle with the wedding party. They were so intoxicated they were asked to leave, and they refused to do so," said Sgt. Spencer Gross, spokesperson for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
According to deputies, the bridal party confronted the men, during which they shoved guests and threatened the bride.
"These two gentlemen became physically aggressive. At one point, took the glasses off of one of the gentlemen and threw it into the roadway," said Gross.
Eventually McAllister and Willard left the wedding reception and made their way across the street to the Dunedin House of Beer, a bar that is owned by the groom.
They were again asked to leave.
"They were bothering not only the staff, but the patrons at the bar. They were causing a scene. They were using profanity at the bar," said Gross.
Authorities were called, and when Pinellas County deputies arrived, they said Willard was so intoxicated he had trouble walking out of the bar.
"They had to assist them, they were staggering out of the parking lot," said Gross.
Willard was arrested.
Deputies said McAllister interfered as they began to cuff Willard. He was taken into custody as well.
Both men were charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer.
They were each released from the Pinellas County Jail on a $250 bond.
