TAMPA (FOX 13) - Police officers in Tampa say they spotted and stopped a wrong-way driver before she could get very far onto Interstate 4.
It was around 3 a.m. when TPD says a DUI officer spotted a Mitsubishi Galant making a left turn from the center lane of 14th Avenue -- cutting off another vehicle in the process -- then turning onto an I-4 exit ramp the wrong way.
The officer saw the car pull up to the "wrong way" sign, drive around it, and continue up the exit ramp. That's when the officer stopped the car and, according to TPD, the woman behind the wheel failed field sobriety tests.
Alexandra Luckett, 38, was charged with DUI.
