Army-Navy game play-by-play announcers ready to call the 126th match-up of America’s Game

The Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen will face off Saturday, Dec. 13 for the 126th Army-Navy game at M&T Stadium in Baltimore.

The annual gridiron matchup, known as America’s Game, is the last regular season college football game.

The Navy and Army both play in the American Athletic Conference (AAC). Going into this year's match, the Navy Midshipmen finished 7-1 in the AAC and are 9-2 for the entire season, while the Army Black Knights finished 4-4 in conference play and 6-5 overall.

Army Navy Game play-by-play radio announcers looking forward to a great game

The radio announcers for the game are ready for the match.  Rich DeMarco serves as the radio play-by-play voice for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point Army Black Knights and Joe Miller is the radio play-by-play voice for the United States Naval Academy Navy Midshipmen.

"The Army team has waited a year for this game after being upset last year. They were the favorite in that game. It was a twelve-win season for Army, but you know, a big blemish on that was losing to Navy and losing that commander-in-chief trophy, which Army had won the year before," said DeMarco. "This year, tables somewhat turned. Navy comes in with nine wins, Army with six, and Navy's the favorite."

"No season is complete unless you do pick up that Commander in Chiefs trophy," said Miller. The pressure last year was on the Black Knights, now that's kind of shifted over to the Navy perspective going into this season. They're trying to win ten games for the first time in back-to-back seasons in the history of their football program. So a lot of the pressure, you might say, is a little bit more on the Navy side of things."

The uniforms represent the Army Values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.

The 2025 uniform features purple streaking through the jersey numbers and along the helmet as purple symbolizes the sacrifice made by Soldiers and Gold Star Families, tracing its lineage to the Badge of Military Merit, precursor to the Purple Heart, first authorized by General George Washington during the American Revolution.

The uniform design was the work of Army Football and the United States Military Academy’s Department of History and War Studies in collaboration with Nike.   This is the 10th season that they have worked together.

The Navy football uniforms honor and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy with inspiration from the USS Constitution, "Old Ironsides," who earned the nickname during the War of 1812 when cannonballs bounced off the frigate’s copper covered hulls. The USS Constitution is one of the Navy’s six original frigates launched Oct 21, 1797 and is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world today.

The 2025 uniform is composed of two shades of navy blue - a washed navy derived from the original 1776 uniform and a nautical navy symbolizing the hull color of  "Old Ironsides."

The copper on the helmets pay tribute to the USS Constitution's hull.

Under Armour has been the official outfitter of Navy's intercollegiate athletic programs since 2014.
