Former Bucs coach Dungy headed to Hall of Fame
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Former Buccaneers head coach Tony Dungy is heading to the NFL Hall of Fame.
Dungy coached six seasons with the Buccaneers and then moved on to Indianapolis where he led the Colts to Super Bowl XLI championship and became the first African-American coach to win a world title. He is also the third person to win a Super Bowl both as a head coach and as a player.
Dungy was elected along with another Tampa resident, former San Francisco owner Eddie Debartolo, Jr.
The NFL Hall of Fame induction ceremony is August 6, in Canton, Ohio. Other members of the 2016 class are Brett Favre, Marvin Harrison, Kevin Greene, Orlando Pace, Ken Stabler, and Dick Stanfel.
