Tampa Catholic's Craig-Myers picks Auburn over UNC
TAMPA (FOX 13) - National Signing Day has really become a national holiday across the country. Elite recruits pick up the pen and sign their name on a college scholarship.
Here in the Bay area, Tampa Catholic has one of the best football players in the country in wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers.
Craig-Myers wanted the entire school to be a part of his big decision, so Tampa Catholic students were let out of class for the nationally televised event on ESPNU.
The four-star receiver had originally committed to Auburn almost two years ago and then backed out. But Wednesday, he took out a replica of Aubie the Tiger from under the table to announce he had again chosen Auburn over UNC.
Of his choice, Craig-Myers said Auburn was "one of the first schools that believed in me."
