A Tampa mom was already wide-awake Sunday morning after her son woke up from a nightmare. Then, they heard scratching noises at the front door, but her son didn't seem to be frightened by the surprise visitor.

An alligator possibly hunting for a good summer sale was denied access to the Largo Mall this week after police removed the trespassing reptile, according to a post on the Largo Police Department's Facebook page.

A trapper safely removed a 7-foot alligator from a post office in Spring Hill early Wednesday morning, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
