An invasion of mighty munchers is descending on the Bay Area as the population of Florida’s biggest and most voracious grasshopper is growing right now.

Although this weekend may not offer the best fishing conditions, anglers here in Florida can take advantage of two license-free fishing weekends this month: June 4-5 for saltwater and June 11-12 for freshwater.

As Florida trappers search for the gator involved in the suspected attack and death of a 47-year-old man in a Largo lake, officials said they have euthanized two alligators so far – but neither are connected to the death investigation.

Largo police believe a man whose body was found in Taylor Lake Tuesday morning was attacked by an alligator.

Much of the alligator's right front leg was missing below its shoulder bone.
