Love Chef Recipe: Holiday Ham
TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - There’s a holiday ham that is perfect to help host that holiday meal.
The Love Chef joined Good Day Tampa Bay to showcase the recipe. Watch the video above for directions; here's what you'll need to make it:
Bake a 12-14 pound ham as directed by packer. About 30 minutes before ham is done, remove from the oven. Increase oven temperature to 450°.
Then do the following:
Mix 1 cup of brandy
1 cup honey
1 cup orange marmalade
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 pounds mixed dried fruit (can include cranberries)
Let stand and marinade.
In a large skillet, melt ¼ pound butter, add fruit mixture and ½ a teaspoon of white pepper, reduce mixture until thick (about 20 minutes).
Pat mixture on ham and return to 450° oven for 30 minutes or more to impart some flavor. Dressing can be served on the side. Remove and garnish with red and green cherries.
