2 dead in Temple Terrace apparent murder-suicide: Police
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Police in Temple Terrace are investigating an apparent murder-suicide.
What we know:
Officers went to a home in the 12200 block of N. 53rd Street around 12:30 p.m. on Monday to do a well-being check.
Upon arrival, police said the home was secure, and they were not able to make contact with anyone inside.

Once officers were able to get inside the home, they said they found the bodies of an 85-year-old woman and a 90-year-old man.
Police say the man and the woman both had gunshot wounds.
According to TTPD, there is no threat to the community.
What we don't know:
Police have not said how long the couple had been inside the home before being discovered. It is also unclear who shot who or what the motive was behind the apparent murder-suicide.
