5 dogs rescued in Polk County to star in Puppy Bowl

POLK COUNTY (FOX 13) - Super Bowl 50 is almost here, but another highly anticipated game is the Puppy Bowl.

Five dogs rescued from Polk County will star in Animal Planet’s 12th annual game on Sunday.

The event is a campaign to increase adoption awareness.

This year, the show will include animals with special needs.

All five dogs are up for adoption at Little Dog Rescue in St. Cloud.

The Puppy Bowl kickoff is at 3:00 p.m. Sunday on Animal Planet.
