Attorney General Bondi asks Frontier to improve customer service

Frontier Communications replaced Verizon as one of the state's main cable and internet providers more than a month ago, yet some customers are still reporting issues.  Now, Attorney General Pam Bondi is telling Frontier to shape up.

According to a news release sent Monday, Bondi says her office has received over 100 complaints from people still struggling with the change.  Some of the issues are small, like no longer being able to access on-demand programming that was once available through Verizon, with Frontier.

But others are more serious, like seniors who say they can't even call 911 in an emergency.

Customers have also complained about being placed on hold for up to two hours while trying to resolve certain issues.

To address the complications once and for all, Bondi sent frontier a letter demanding better service. She says she is asking them to make things right with their customers.

“I asked Frontier to do the right thing, fix these problems as soon as possible, and issue refunds to all consumers who have experienced an interruption in their services, without the customer having to request a refund.”

Frontier recently set up the following email address and a phone number in an effort to assist customers:

Anyone still experiencing problems should also file a complaint with the Florida Attorney General's Office by clicking here, or calling 866-9-no-scam.

In the meantime, Bondi says she hopes to have a Frontier representative contact her by Wednesday.
