Bobcat hit by car being treated at cat hospital

Big Cat Rescue
Big Cat Rescue is helping to nurse a bobcat back to health after he was hit by a car. It happened over the weekend in Brandon.
A man and woman called the organization to tell them they found an injured bobcat in the middle of the highway just after one in the morning.
The intersection was cordoned off by deputies who responded so rescuers could get to the bobcat.
The rescuers, armed with a net, gloves and the big carrier, saw the bobcat was starting to come to his senses, but they were able to put the net over him as he tried to leap away.
Video of rescuers trying to treat the bobcat, nicknamed "Thor," while he was in the cage shows Thor swiping and growling at them. It appears Thor has a fractured shoulder blade and jaw, and will require very delicate surgery. He also has a crushed eye socket.
He is critical and will have to spend about six weeks in the hospital, but rescuers say he's eating so that's good news.
