Building at Tampa Yacht Club catches fire; horses relocated

A maintenance building at the Tampa Yacht Club caught fire Thursday evening, forcing the relocation of some horses on the property. 

Fire crews worked to put out the visible flames, which broke out sometime before 11 p.m. in South Tampa near Ballast Point Park.

Some workers were nearby and were able to quickly move the horses away from danger. Tampa Fire Rescue said the horses on the property had all been accounted for and were safe.

The cause of the fire was not known.
