Bystander injured in Tarpon Springs shooting, police say

A bystander was shot Tuesday night in a Tarpon Springs neighborhood, police said.

Tarpon Springs police responded to a “chaotic scene,” they said around 9:45 p.m. at South Disston Avenue and Martin L. King Jr., Boulevard. When officers arrived, there were many people running from the area.

The bystander who was shot was transported to Florida Hospital/North Pinellas with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

No arrests have been made and no suspect description has been released by police.
