Crews battle house fire at vacant home

Firefighters battled a house fire in Clearwater early Thursday morning.

It broke out at a vacant house just before 5 a.m. on Woodlawn Terrace, according public safety officials.

By the time crews arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get it under control, but they were able to get the fire out before it spread to any neighboring homes.

No injuries were reported. Douglas Ave. was closed between Sunset Point and Union while firefighters investigated.
