Deputies: Man arrested for stealing Florida church van

HALL COUNTY, Ga. - A Lawrenceville man was arrested after police said they found him standing next to a stolen church van with a flat tire.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office picked up 29-year-old Jesse Rust early Thursday morning at the intersection of White Sulphur Road and Georgia Highway 365.

Investigators said he was waiting by a white van with decals reading "Truth, Faith and Deliverance Community Church."

After running the VIN number, deputies realized the van was stolen from a church in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Rust was charged with felony theft by receiving.
