DOSE OF CUTE: 36 baby pandas born in China

There seems to be a panda baby boom happening in China.

So far, 42 giant panda cubs have been born this year and 36 of them made their big public debut at the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center this week.

The fluffy cubs range in age from one to five months old and they were seen lying still on the ground or on all fours, rolling about.

Some of them still had their eyes closed because they don't usually open their eyes until they are six-to-eight weeks old.

The cubs are not mobile typically until they are three-months-old.

This year is the highest recorded number of births since the breeding program began in China, which is helping to preserve the species. There are even 15 pairs of twins!
