Driver sought in Clearwater hit and run crash that injured pedestrian
CLEARWATER (FOX13) - Clearwater police are looking for the driver who hit a woman Thursday night and fled the scene.
It happened at 6:15 p.m. at Myrtle Avenue and Turner Street.
Police say the woman, identified as 53-year-old Tammie Whiting, was crossing the street in the crosswalk when the vehicle ran the redlight and struck her.
Police are now looking for a silver four-door vehicle, possibly a Ford Taurus, in relation to the crash.
The woman was taken to the hospital with potential life-threatening injuries.
