Six people were rescued near Conch Reef in the Florida Keys, including an infant.

Good Samaritans on a nearby vessel notified the U.S. Coast Guard of a capsized 22-foot boat around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Six people were in the water, according to the agency. The Conch Reef is located southeast of Plantation Key.

According to Keys Weekly, three good Samaritans, including two teenagers from Islamorada, spotted the capsized boat about 500 yards away them. They told the publication there were four adults, a 4-year-old and a 3-month-old strapped to his mother's chest.

All but the boat owner waited for the Coast Guard with the teenagers and one of the teen's uncle.

“When we saw the baby, we knew this could be a serious situation," Mason Baker told Keys Weekly. "Something had gone wrong, but it wasn’t as bad as we thought.”

Coast Guard officials said two children, including a 3-month-old, to a hospital for possible ingestion of salt water. There were no other injuries, and there is no official word on the condition of the children.
