Closures, sandbags, and other county-specific emergency information for Hillsborough County as Hurricane Hermine passes.
-Hillsborough County public schools and district offices will be closed again on Friday.
In an effort to provide an alternate location for Tampa residents, including kids and seniors, to go because of closures due to the storm, the city of Tampa will open all Recreation facilities from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd free of charge. Here's a list of locations.
-All University of South Florida System campuses - Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee – will remain closed on Friday, September 2. All Friday classes are canceled.
-Hillsborough Community College will be closed on Friday.
Sandbags will continue to be available at all three County Public Works Service Units until 9 p.m. Thursday as weather permits.
- West Service Unit - 9805 Sheldon Road in Tampa
- South Service Unit - 8718 Old Big Bend Road in Gibsonton
- East Service Unit - 4702 Sydney Road in Plant City
In Tampa, residents can pick up sandbags at three locations from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
-Bobby Hicks Pool - 4201 W. Mango Avenue
-Barksdale Active Adult Center at MacFarlane Park - 1801 N. Lincoln Avenue
-Jackson Heights Community Center - 3310 E. Lake Avenue
-Hillsborough County government offices will be closed Thursday.

-All Florida Department of Health locations in Hillsborough County will be closed on Thursday, September 1 and are expected to reopen Friday, Sept. 2. Visit www.floridahealth.org for updates.

- Bayshore Boulevard is closed from Bay to Bay Blvd. to Platt Street in anticipation of flooding.
