Hillsborough Co. paramedics deliver baby on ambulance
TAMPA (FOX 13) - A Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crew helped a mom deliver a baby, who just couldn't wait to be transported to the hospital before making his debut.
In a post on Twitter, HCFR said a crew responded to a call for a mom going into labor.
When they got there, mom, who was 33 weeks along, knew it was time, so the paramedics delivered the baby boy in the back of the ambulance.
"Our privilege to assist in the early debut of a 33-week-old baby boy this week!" HCFR said on Twitter. "Baby, mom, and dad all doing great."
The tweet included a photo taken by the father of the newborn baby boy, showing mom, inside the ambulance, holding her bundle of joy.
