A Hillsborough County man was arrested after deputies said he was seen on surveillance video breaking into a work truck and stealing hundreds of dollars' worth of tools.

What we know:
Joe Butts, 56, was arrested in Brandon on Saturday after investigators identified him as the suspect in the theft, according to HCSO.

Deputies said Butts entered the bed of a work truck parked at a business on Windhorst Road on Friday, where he stole multiple bags containing hundreds of dollars' worth of tools.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and identified Butts as the suspected thief, the sheriff’s office said.
The following day, deputies located Butts riding a bicycle and pulling the same trailer that was captured on surveillance video during the theft. He was arrested, HCSO said.

During the arrest, deputies also found methamphetamine in Butts' pocket, according to HCSO.
Butts faces felony charges including third-degree grand theft, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and possession of a controlled substance.
