Plant City officer involved shooting

PLANT CITY, Fla. - Plant City Police say that at 1:45, Saturday afternoon they received a 911 call in reference to a theft. When police responded they found the suspected thief at his car. Police say a confrontation between the suspect and police ended with gunfire as an officer shot the suspect.

The person shot was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and their condition is unknown at this time. Police say no officers were injured and  their investigation is active.
