TAMPA (FOX 13) - Tampa Police say an 18-year-old Plant High School student has been arrested and faces armed robbery charges.
Investigators say Lamar Gilbert and an unknown partner pointed a BB gun at a car on top of a parking garage on Bay Center Drive and demanded cash. The pair reportedly got away with the money and a victim's cell phone, worth about $500.
Officers arrested Gilbert at school on Thursday. The Tampa Bay Times reports he is a football player for the Panthers. So far, we have not received a statement from Plant High School about the arrest.
