Police arrest suspect in hit and run that left bicyclist injured

TAMPA (FOX13) - Tampa Police have arrested a man they say hit a bicyclist and kept driving.

It happened around 5 a.m. Saturday at 30th Avenue East and 50th Street North.

Witnesses said a man with blonde hair driving a pickup truck hit the 22-year-old bicyclist, who has life-threatening injuries. 

On Sunday, someone called police to report seeing a truck matching the description of the one that hit the bicyclist.

Officers responded to the scene and found a truck with serious damage present.  The owner, Joseph Ragsdale, refused to speak without his attorney present.  He was arrested and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
